DRAGON BALL Z is back with Atari’s DRAGON BALL Z: Sagas, an action adventure game based on storylines from the anime. Players take on the role of one of six DRAGON BALL heroes and help them fight through aliens, androids, and the Ginyu Force. Six characters are available to play, including Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo. Players start the game with basic punch, kick, and energy attacks and can learn combos and more powerful Ki blasts by collecting coins. Boss battles are intense, pitting the player against such popular DRAGON BALL adversaries as Vegeta, Nappa, and Cell. Fans of the DRAGON BALL Z anime will recognize the cut scenes and voice actors. Both are straight from the anime, making players feel like they’re in the middle of an episode. The environments themselves are modeled very closely after the DRAGON BALL world and are fully interactive, allowing players to destroy rocks, trees, and anything else they come across. In addition to the single player mod, players can partner up with a friend for some cooperative action. An arena arcade mode is also available for players to practice their fighting skills. Sagas is full of the intense, energy-blasting action that DRAGON BALL is known for. DRAGON BALL Z fans shouldn’t miss this chance to revisit the classic story (and learn a few new parts of it that weren’t seen onscreen), and players who have never heard of DRAGON BALL will find this game a good introduction to the series.
